10 Feb FEBRUARY 2025 CLUB MEETING – Electrical Grounding with Matthew Palan
Join us for the in-person February 2025 meeting of the Fayette County Amateur Radio Club on Thursday, 2/27/25 @ 7pm. All are welcome. This event was originally scheduled for last September, but was delayed until now because of Hurricane Helene.
This month’s speakers will be Matthew Palan, Certified Electrician. Matthew’s biography:
I have been doing electrical work for nearly 20 years. I started as an apprentice in 2005 time frame. Worked as an apprentice for 2 .5 years until running my own service truck. My primary background is in electrical service and repair. I have experience in residential and commercial service and new construction wiring, generators and swimming pool wiring. I was mentored by some of the best in the business. One man I particular pushed me to get my license from day one practically. I achieved the goal by the grace of God by age 28. I worked for a few electrical contractors until finally starting my own business with my business partner in 2013. We have been running that business since then. I have done countless grounding system installs from code minimum to install specific grounding. I have installed tested and upgraded grounding for efficacy and NEC requirement reasons. I have a family. My wife and I have three boys and live in Newnan where we have a small homestead farm. We attend a church locally in Newnan. I attribute all I have and know to The Lord.
Meeting will be held at the Fayette County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at 110 Volunteer Way, Fayetteville, GA. The EOC is co-located with the 911 center.
