17 Aug August 2020 Club Meeting – Digital Decoding on HF
The Fayette County Amateur Radio Club will be holding it’s August 2020 Club Meeting online on Thursday, August 27th at 7pm. Our guest speaker will be Steve Yothment, W4OGM, who will be giving a presentation about digital decoding on HF (shortwave) bands.
About our speaker – Steve Yothment, W4OGM
Steve is a former President and current Treasurer of the Fayette County Amateur Radio Club. He is a retired electrical engineer and most recently designed car radios for the Panasonic Company in Peachtree City. Before that he worked at Scientific Atlanta, Motorola and Magnavox. Steve’s design work always involved radio technology.
Steve has been a ham since 1973. He enjoys mostly HF operation and is also an avid shortwave listener. Since Steve retired, he took up gardening and is now a Master Gardener. In addition to his radio hobby, Steve is also busy with several community gardening projects.
