You are invited to join us for the annual Fayette County Amateur Radio Club ARRL Field Day, always the last full weekend in June. This family-friendly event will be held on Saturday, June 28- Sunday, June 29, 2025 at Brooks Bears Football Field located at 905 Hwy 85 Connector, Brooks, GA 30205 (behind Fayette County Fire Station 6).
Talk-in will be on the club’s flagship KK4GQ repeater on 145.210 MHz (- offset, 131.8 Hz PL). You do not have to be a club member or even a ham radio operator to participate.

When: Saturday and Sunday, June 28 and 29, 2025.
Where: Brooks Bears Football Field located at 905 Hwy 85 Connector, Brooks, GA 30205 (behind Fayette County Fire Station 6).
Planned Schedule (as of 6/1/2025):
Saturday:
0800-0845: Informal Breakfast: Waffle House, 1209 GA-74, Peachtree City
0900-1200: Assemble at Brooks Bears Field. Communications and support
equipment setup.
1200-1300: Lunch (club provided deli sandwiches, chips, drinks)
1300-1400: Systems testing.
1400-2359: Field Day operations.
1400-1900: Visitors invited.
1800-1900: Dinner
Sunday:
0000-1400: Field Day operation.
1000-1300 Visitors invited.
0800-0900 Breakfast (TBD).
1200-1300 Lunch (club provided deli sandwiches, chips, drinks).
1400-1600: Site tear down. Remove trash and restore the site to its original
condition.
There will be 3 HF stations, 1 VHF, and 1 HF GOTA station. The main field day stations will be operating with the W4JB callsign. The GOTA station will allow unlicensed and new operators to “Get on the Air” in the General and Extra portions of the bands using our club callsign (KK4GQ) under the supervision of our members.
This is the FCARC’s premier event and we need help from all club members to make it happen. Your participation can be from an hour to the full 31 scheduled hours. As a volunteer organization, we know there are other priorities, but please set some time aside for this event if you can.
Check for postings to the KK4GQ reflector for your name as we will assign unfilled positions.
